Power ON/OFF Key and Reset Circuit

Figure 3.2-6 shows a circuit diagram of the power ON/OFF key. The CPU processes the
ON/OFF key state in a sequence quite different from other keys although the ON/OFF
key is on the same key pad.

Reset operation by the reset circuit

In the powering-on sequence: The reset signal is canceled and the program
starts.

In the powering-off sequence: The reset signal is canceled and the program
stops.
