DIAGNOSIS FOR STANDALONE PRINTER
5.1
General
The test print can be taken place on the standalone printer for operation check.
For this purpose, the test print pattern stored in the printer is printed continuously at the
continuous printing speed.
5.2
Printing Method
1. Remove the ESS PWB.
2. Load paper, and turn the power ON.
WARNING
In the following steps, never touch the live parts and driving parts.
3. Short two pins of the test print connector (P31) on the MCU HL-4200.
Reference:
To short two pins, make the screwdriver tip touch the two pins.
4. The printer transits to the READY mode, and starts the printing. (Printing is carried
out continuously in the Duplex mode).
5. To stop the printing, remove the screwdriver to release the short of two pins.
Note:
The paper is fed from the tray 1, and if no paper is loaded in the tray 1, printing is
not carried out.
Reference:
Printing will not start, if the printer is in an error status.
