UNCTION: INFRARED TV REMOTE CONTROL
Your cordless features an infra-red ray door (on the top side) that allows to use it as an infra-
red remote control.
To use this function, con
fi
gure
fi
rst of all your cordless. You have 2 possibilities:
•
Make a programming on the cordless, that allows to store the code of the TV model you
want to control from your cordless.
•
Perform the learning procedure through infra-red rays from the TV remote control to your
cordless.
8.1 STORING THE TV PROGRAMMING CODE
The package of your cordless contains a list of the main commercial trade marks, with
the corresponding programming codes (4
fi
gures). For each trade mark, each 4
fi
gures
code corresponds to a given model. Following the procedure described hereafter, you must
program on your cordless the
fi
rst code corresponding to the TV trade mark, and then check
if your cordless controls your TV with this code. If this does not occur, repeat the procedure,
program the second code of the mark and check again the function of the cordless as a
remote control, and so on.
If none of the codes of that trade mark is valid, then proceed with the learning by means of
infra-red rays, as described in the following serction.
Storing procedure (on your cordless):
1. Press the button
MENU

2. Press once the button
CH+
and then
to enter the programming “

”.
3. Press
to select “
1. Code TV
”.
4. The display shows “

“. Dial the 4

gures of your TV trade mark, and press

you will hear a con

rmation beep.
5. Press the button
to leave the programming and tor eturn to stand-by.
Now enter the TV mode (press the red button
TV
) and try to use the controls (see par. “7.3
REMOTE CONTROL MODE: TV CONTROLS”). If the inserted code does not allow the use of the
TV functions, repeat the procedure inserting other codes of the same trade mark.
8.2 LEARNING THROUGH INFRARED RAYS FROM TV CONTROL TO YOUR CORDLESS
With this procedure, the cordless learns each single command of the TV remote control.

Switching on/off of TV (on the cordless: button

Channel UP (on the cordless: button

Channel DOWN (on the cordless: button

)
•
Volume UP (on the cordless: button
VOL+

Volume DOWN (on the cordless: button

MUTE (on the cordless: button

Selection of channels (on the cordless: buttons 0 to 9)
Learning can occur from the remote control of any commercial TV trade mark, if the control
operates with IR.
Before operating,
fi
nd the IR door on the cordless as well as on the TYV remote control, and
position them in such a way that the 2 doors face each other at a distance of ab. 2 meters.
CAUTION:
During the learning procedure, it is important that you hold both devices (cordless
and TV remote control) motionless. Position them both in a steady way onto a table, at a
distance of 2cm.

(ex. CHANNEL UP).
