Gently slide the cover towards the back of the unit and lift it off of the device as shown in
Figure 57 .

4. Proceed to “Installing a POE daughter card” .
Installing a POE daughter card
To replace or install the POE daughter card, do the following:
1. Disassemble the device as instructed in the section “Disassembling the device” on page 91.
2. If you are replacing the POE daughter card, remove the existing card from the connector slot on
the main board. Figure 59 and Figure 60 show the locations of the POE daughter cards on the
main board of the FGS624P-POE and the FGS648P-POE.
3. Install the new POE daughter card:

Remove the POE daughter card from its packaging. The POE daughter card is keyed to
prevent improper insertion, as shown in
Figure 58 .

Locate the connector slots for the POE daughter card on the main board ( Figure 59 and
Figure 60 ).
•
Insert the POE daughter card into the connector slot on the main board as shown in
Figure 59 for the FGS624P-POE and Figure 60 for the FGS648P-POE.
