– inputs location information from an external GPS receiver (X5 & X7 modems only)
The option files are generated by Avanti and can be pushed to the modem via the satellite link
(if you have RX lock) or can be emailed and entered manually by the user.
To load an option file:
1.
Store the option file in a convenient place on your computer
NB: Make sure the option file is compatible with the modem firmware – it is possible
to ‘brick’ the modem if they are not!
2.
Open iSite by following steps 3,4 & 5 in the
ANTENNA SET-UP
section
You should see this:

Click on the
Load Option From Disk
icon
4.
Locate the option file from your computer directory and click
Open
, then
confirm the selected file is the correct one.
5.
The file is instantly loaded. De-power/re-power the unit.
