Place the restraint rear-facing on the vehicle seat.
Extend vehicle belt.
Route vehicle belt under both belt guides.
Verify that the vehicle belt is not twisted, then
buckle.
When correctly reclined, the red line on restraint
will be level with the ground.
If there is a problem achieving the proper recline
angle, collapse the recline adjuster and place a rolled towel or pool
noodle in the crease of the vehicle seat to help level the base.

how you can lock your vehicle belt system as
instructed by your vehicle operator's manual.

Installation Without Base
A
WARNING!
Do not install this restraint using an
Emergency Locking retractor (ELR) vehicle belt, unless a belt
shortening clip is used. Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual for
instructions on correct use of vehicle belts with child restraints.
WARNING!
Only raise base as described above. Do not
raise the base off of the front edge of vehicle seat; doing so
will reduce protection of your child.
Push the restraint firmly into the vehicle seat while removing slack
from the vehicle belt.
