lighting or at any time during use of heater.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Make sure
"Gas Leak Testing"
from page 4 was completed
and the control knob is in the "OFF" position and heater is on
a flat surface away from combustible material.
Step 2
Using a match, hold the flame near the bottom of the heater
grill. Turn the control knob to “START” and hold until heater
lights.
NOTE:
Heater will light with a brief visible flame that will
cover the heater grill for a few seconds. Continue to
hold the control knob in the “START” position for
another 10 seconds.
WARNING:
If the heater does not light within 10-20 seconds,
turn the control knob "OFF" immediately. Wait at
least 5 minutes until gas fumes have dissipated
before attempting to light the heater again.
Step 3
The heater should start emitting heat from the heater grill.
Adjust heat output to “LOW” or “HIGH” as necessary by
using control knob. The heat indicator should move from
black to red as the heater warms up. If heater does not
warm up within 2-3 minutes, turn “OFF” and wait at least
5 minutes until gas fumes have
dissipated before attempting to
light the heater again. Turn heater
"OFF" using control knob when
heater is not in use.
Step 4
After use, allow heater to cool completely, then follow
instructions in the
"After-Use Safety"
and
"Proper Care &
Maintenance"
sections of this manual.
