4.2 Installing the Pure induct
Follow the steps as described below to install the Pure induct. Applicable for all situations:
Do not remove the inlet guard on the front and back of the appliance and do not connect
the Pure induct to a power outlet before finishing the installation.
1.
Select the location of the Pure induct including the collecting unit.
•
Make sure, when outside air needs to be cleaned before distribution indoors, the
Pure induct is connected to the inlet-duct before the air is distributed throughout
the building.
•
Make sure there is enough space to install the Pure induct including the collecting
unit.
•
Make sure the duct distance between the Pure induct and the collecting unit is not
more than 3 meter. For an optimal result, place the collecting unit directly behind
the Pure induct.
•
Make sure the Pure induct can easily be reached after installation to make
maintenance possible.
•
Make sure the on/off, the collecting unit (lid) and the control box can easily be
accessed to allow for maintenance and repairs.
•
Make sure the Pure induct is protected from possible water leakage and condensation.
•
When using mounting brackets for the Pure induct, make sure the wall or ceiling is
strong enough to install the Pure induct to.
•
Make sure the Pure induct can be connected to a grounded power outlet (~110-240
VAC, 50-60 Hz).
2.
Connect the collecting unit to the Pure induct.
•
Follow the next steps to instal the collecting unit directly behind the Pure induct.
When installing the collecting unit seperate from the Pure induct, make sure the
connection is leak-proof.
•
Hold the collecting unit against the electrostatic section (at the side of the power
cord).
•
Place the flange clamps on the flanges of the electrostatic section and collecting unit
to connect both pieces to each other.
•
Use the M5 bolts and M5x40 nuts that are supplied along with the machine to
connect the flange clamp.
•
Remark
: If it is necessary to disconnect the collecting unit entirely: do not reach
into the application and do not touch any of the inner components. This can
damage the application and affect the operation of the application.
3.
Install the Pure induct in the ducts.
•
Allow for sufficient space to install the collecting unit when installing the collecting
unit seperate from the Pure induct.
•
If necessary, attach the Pure induct to the wall or ceiling using mounting brackets
suited for ducts with Ø200 mm, see picture Mounting examples (page 15). The M8
threaded rod creates the connection with the mounting brackets.
•
Make sure the Pure induct is installed in the correct direction. The air should flow in
the same direction as the air flow direction indicator on the air purifier.
•
Make sure the connection of the Pure induct (and the collecting unit(s)) to the
ventilation duct is leak-proof.
•
See picture Installation examples (page 14) for examples how to connect the Pure
induct and the collecting unit to the existing ventilation duct.
