FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
For the Ford Mondeo sedan and hatchback. Refer to fig.1 when the
sedan model is depicted.
1. Remove the bumper (fig.2) by loosening the fixtures at the rear panel
and the wheel housing. Remove the rearmost shocks from their fixtures
(fig.3). Remove (if present) the heat shields as shown in fig.4. Remove
the foam ridge from the bumper and cut out the part indicated in fig.5.
Cut the part out of the bumper shown in fig.6. Replace the foam ridge
on the bumper. Remove the sealant from the points of attachment
according to fig.7.
2. Put the M10x110 bolts through the holes in strips A (see fig.8) and slide
the spacers B (ø18x3.5. L=80mm) over them. Position the A strips with
accessories C and D. The assembly for the left side is shown in fig. 9.
Fasten the whole assembly using four M10 bolts, spring and flat was-
hers.
Take care!
Use fig.10 to see that it is assembled properly.
Put the tow bar in position and attach it according to fig.11 with four
M10x40 bolts, double flat washers and spring washers. Tighten all bolts
and nuts according to the values in the table. Replace the bumper and
attach the ball hitch as shown in fig. 12 using one M12x65/21.2 bolt and
one M12x70/26.2 including the socket plate, flat washers, and self-loc-
king nuts. Replace that removed in point one.

NOTE:
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting points.
* All bolts are quality 8.8 - nuts 8. or when mentioned in fitting instructions
10.9 / 10.
* Don't forget the spring- and plain washers.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and
ball hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* It is recommendable to retighten all fixing bolts and nuts after the towbar
has been in use for some 1000 km/600 miles.
* Do not drill through brake-or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
