1/2” DEFLECTION

Adjust the roller chain for the rear transmission to
have approximately 1/2” deflection possible with
moderate pressure from one finger.

To adjust the chain:

1. Loosen the 5/8” idler axle bolt.

3. Move the bolt in the slot to obtain enough

slack to allow approximately 1/2” deflection

when using one finger to apply moderate

pressure to the chain.

4. Re-tighten idler bolt.

Be careful not to over tighten this chain.

Note: Be sure to oil roller chains periodically.
