under flashes.

the double pre-flash is activated.
6. Settings for the serial flash function
6.1. Activating the automatic serial flash function
1. Press the flash button (Fig. 2, E) until
appears on the
LCD. Automatic serial flash function is activated. The symbol
flashes.
2. Press the function button (Fig. 2, J) to confirm the settings.
6.2. Disabling the serial flash function
1. Press the flash button (Fig. 2, E) until no symbols appear on
the LCD in the line for highspeed flash mode. The serial flash
function is disabled. The symbol flashes.
2. Press the function button (Fig. 2, J) to confirm the settings.
6.3. Setting the serial flash (5x/sec.)
1. Press the flash button (Fig. 2, E) until
appears on
the LCD. The symbol flashes.
2. Turn the setting knob (Fig. 2, I) to set a lighting speed
between F1 and F9.
3. Press the function button (Fig. 2, J) to confirm the settings.
6.4. Setting the serial flash (10x/sec.)
1. Press the flash button (Fig. 2, E) until
appears on
the LCD. The symbol flashes.

between F1 and F9.
3. Press the function button (Fig. 2, J) to confirm the settings.
6.5. Setting the serial flash (15x/sec.)
1. Press the flash button (Fig. 2, E) until
appears on
the LCD. The symbol flashes.
2. Turn the setting knob (Fig. 2, I) to set a lighting speed
between F1 and F9.
3. Press the function button (Fig. 2, J) to confirm the settings.
6.6. Setting the FP high-speed synchronisation (HSS)
NOTE!
To use this function, the optional WT-3i trigger is needed that
supports high-speed synchronisation (HSS).
High-speed synchronisation can only be used when
is
displayed on the LCD.
Make sure that the camera‘s hotshoe match with the trigger
and a connection to the receiver exists.
Disable high-speed synchronisation function when it is not
needed to avoid undesired effects during ‚normal‘ shootings.
1. Press and hold flash button (Fig. 2, E) for approx. 5 seconds
until appears on the LCD. High-speed synchronisation is
enabled.
2. Press flash button (Fig. 2, E) to disable high-speed
synchronisation. disappears from the LCD.
7. Flash counter
The display
indicates the number of flashes.
8. Voltage display
The display
indicates that an operating voltage
between 200V and 240V can be used. The device can also be
operated with a power supply of 100-140V. Then
appears in the display.
NOTE!
Do not use the device with an operating voltage outside the
specified ranges of 100-140V and 200-240V to avoid damage
to the electronics.
9. Temperature display and fan
The display
indicates the current value for the internal
temperature of the studio flash. The temperature value changes
with the operating time.
If the internal temperature is above 35° C, the fan turns on.
The symbol
appears on the LCD. If the temperature drops
below 35° C, the fan turns off. The symbol does not appear on
the LCD any longer.
If you turn on the modeling lamp, the fan will turn on automatically.
10. Overheating protection
This device works with two different modes for overheating protection.
10.1. Temperature overheating protection
If the internal temperature is above 65° C, charging of the flash
will be stopped.
10.2. Condenser overheating protection
If the temperature of the condenser is higher than the current
operating temperature, charging of the flash will be stopped.
„EO“ and the symbol
appear on the LCD. The charging
display
flashes and the flash can not be triggered. The
fan works. After the internal temperature is reduced, the flash
will continue charging automatically. „EO“ and the symbol
do not appear on the LCD any longer.
11. Surge protection
If the symbol appears on the LCD, at the same time flash
power can not be adjusted, and flash operates with full power
only, then the surge protection has been activated. In this case,
electrical components of the flash possibly have been damaged
and repair of the equipment or the substitution of components
may be required. Therefore, please contact the Service Center
first. If there was no over-voltage damage the symbol is not
displayed on the screen.
12. Operating the flash with a remote control (Optional
accessory)
1. Plug in the receiver’s USB-A plug for the wireless remote
control (see Optional accessories) into the USB-A slot (Fig.
3, P) of the studio flash.
2. Connect the remote control with the receiver via a coded
connection. The symbol for the connection with the remote
control appears on the LCD (Fig. 2, C) for a short time.
The studio flash and the remote control are now connected.
13. Discharging the condenser
After changing the flash power from a higher to a lower value,
the function lamp above the Test button (Fig. 2, D) flashes. This
indicates that the condenser will be discharged to the level of
the selected flash power. Flashing is not possible during the
process of discharging.
If the power in normal flash mode is lower than the selected
power in serial flash mode, the function lamp above the Test
button will also flash. This also indicates that the condenser is
discharging.
When the function lamp stopps flashing, discharging has been
finished. You can start flashing again. The power shown on the
LCD is required.
