Battery installation
Please note:
Alwaysinsertthebatteriesinthemainunitfirst,andthenintheremotesensor!
Main unit
•Openthecoverofthebatterycompartement(11)andinsert2piecesofAAbatteriesaccordingtothe
polarityasshowninthecompartement.
Remote sensor
•Whenusingthedeviceforthefirsttime,pulltheplasticstripoutofthebatterycompartement(19)and
removetheplasticcapfromthesoilmoisturesensor(16).
•Forbatteryreplacement,removethecoverandreplacewithanewCR2450battery.

Setting up the connection
1)Selectalocationforthemainunitandtheremotesensorsothattheyarewithintheeffectivetransmis-
sionrange(20metersopenarea)fromeachother.
2)Openthecoverofthebatterycompartement(19)andselectthechannelnumberontheremotesensor
byrotatingthe[CH]knob(22)tothedesiredchannelnumber.
3)Removetheplasticcoverfromthetwometalpins.Insertthesoilsensorintosoil(refer“SETTINGUP
THESOILSENSOR”formoredetails)
