7. Adjusting the interpupillary distance
3. Look through both eyepieces* with both eyes.
Firmly hold left and right part of the IPD adjustment casing (7) and push to-
gether or pull apart the casing parts with light force. Doing so will merge two
single images into one image. Now you can enjoy your observations.
Note:
Remember the number of the IPD scale for further observations.
8. Maintenance and Cleaning
• Protect the device from dust and moisture.
• After use, particularly in high humidity, let the device acclimatise for a short peri-
od of time, so that the residual moisture can dissipate before storing.
• Put on the covering caps and store it in the included hardcase when not in use.
• Store the device in the included hardcase on a dry, dust-free place when it is not
being used for longer time.
• Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device.
• Clean the lenses only with a soft, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfibre cloth). To avoid
scratching the lenses, use only gentle pressure with the cleaning cloth.
• To remove dust from the lenses, use a fine brush or airblower. Don’t touch any
optical surface with fingers – the coating may be damaged.
9. Disposal
Dispose of the packaging materials properly, according to their type, such as
paper or cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal service or environmental
authority for information on the proper disposal.
10. Warranty and Service
The regular warranty period is 5 years and begins on the date of purchase.
