Installing Top/Bottom Bunks.
REQUIRED HARDWARE
• Hardware Card #2
• Hardware Packages #17, #27 & #29
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
• 1/2” Socket & Wrench

Install 3 springs onto each
of the 4 mechanism using
holes: 4, 5 & 6
(the 3 middle holes)
1. Position the spring with the open side of the
hook facing down as shown in
green.
2. Hook it into one of the back side holes of
the mechanism slots as shown in
blue.
3. Rotate the spring 180° and hook the
opposite side into the corresponding hole
on the movable portion of the mechanism as shown in
orange
.

Important: You’ll need to rotate the mechanism arm forwards and/or
backwards as you go to keep tension on the springs you’ve inserted and to
create the proper spacing for the spring you’re working on.

EITHER BUNKS UNTIL LADDERS HAVE BEEN
INSTALLED DURING CHAPTER 5 STEP 1!
