When the food is cooked/grilled as desired, lift the Handle to open the Grilling Plates, then
remove the food using heat-resistant utensils. If further cooking is required to be done at this
time, close the Grilling Plates to conserve heat.

Repeat Steps 7-12 until all cooking/grilling is complete, reapplying cooking oil as necessary.
15.
Press button no.2 to open the unit into a 180 degree position to allow for double plate
grilling/cooking.

Switch off the Gourmet Panini Pres and Grill by unplugging the Power Cord from the mains
electrical supply.
17.
Allow the unit to cool down completely before cleaning.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
Before cleaning, unplug the unit and wait for the appliance and the Grilling Plates to cool down
completely.
2.
Wipe the outside with a damp cloth, ensuring that no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling
slots.
3.
Remove the Drip Tray carefully and empty it. Wash with warm soapy water and then slide it
back into the unit.
4.
The Grilling Plates can be cleaned by wiping them with a damp cloth.
5.
Press the Plate Release Button (no.8) near the Handle to release the Grilling Plates for washing
under running water. Dry them thoroughly before re-inserting into the unit.
6.
Do not clean the inside or outside of the unit with any abrasive scouring pads or steel wool as
this will damage the finish of the unit.
7.
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
