10.3.14 ASC Valve Seal Replacement and
Calibration
If ASC valve requires seal replacement follow
procedure below:
Refer to
Figure 10.66
.
1. Ensure cylinder is fully extended.
2. Remove pin that attaches clevis to valve gate.
3.
Remove 10 flange nuts that holding ASC valve
assembly together.
4. Remove exhaust valve half, seal and valve
gate.
5. Replace seal with new one.
Important
Make sure that soft side (red or yellow color) of
the seal goes out towards valve body and hard
side (black color) goes in towards valve gate.

6. Roughly align through ports of valve body
halves, bottom seal holes, and knife gate.

Loosely tighten flange nuts.
7. Fully extend cylinder rod and attach to valve
gate.
8. Realign components so all through ports are
concentric and the top of the knife valve plate
is flush with the top of the valve bodies.
Important
Hole in stainless gate must be aligned with
through port in valve halves.
9.
Tighten down 10 flange nuts.
