7. Inner Dual Tires (Dual Adapter):
a. If the inner dual is being replaced, remove
the 5 bolts with round spacers and then
remove the inner dual.
b. Install the new dual using the following
process:
i.
Position the inner dual on the lip of
the adapter.
ii.
Install one bolt with a round spacer
in one of the small holes clockwise
of a large hole.
iii. Repeat the process in the four
remaining holes that are clockwise to
the large holes.
iv.
The round spacer configuration is
used to install the outer dual.
c. Install the outer dual tire:
i.
Position the larger holes in the outer
dual over the stud protectors.
ii.
Remove one stud protector and re-
install clamping segment centered
over large hole in the rim.
iii. Repeat process in star pattern and
torque nuts to 450 ± 25 FTLB.
CAUTION
Never lift more than one tire at a time off the
ground. The unit could become unstable and fall.
WARNING
The wheels are extremely heavy and could fall as
soon as the wheel nuts are removed.
Use caution when removing wheels and ensure
adequate personnel and equipment are available
to change the tire.
WARNING
While the unit is jacked up or on a stand, never
walk under the unit and keep hands and feet
clear.
