Start Engine:
The ignition for the 130 Super
Sport is located on the aft of the
gear shift/throttle control unit.
• Turn key to “Start”
position and hold until
engine starts.
• W h e n e n g i n e s t a r t s ,
release key. The key
w i l l r e t u r n t o t h e
“ON” position.
• Check for a steady stream
of water fl owing out of
the water pump outlet.

Stopping the Engine
• Reduce engine speed and
be sure that the gear
shift and throttle control
handle is in the
NEUTRAL position
• Turn Key to the “OFF”
position.

NOTICE
• NEVER shift outboard into gear unless
engine speed is at idle.
• DO NOT shift outboard into reverse when
the engine is not running.
• When shifting, always stop at neutral
position and allow the engine speed to
return to idle.
Warming Up the Engine
The “Fast Idle” lever on the gear shift/throttle
control allows the operator to increase engine
RPM for warm-up without shifting the engines
into gear.
• Be sure that the gear
shift and throttle
control handle is in the
NEUTRAL position.
• Start the engine.
• Pull UP on the “Fast
Idle” lever.
Keep engine speed
below 2000 RPM.
• To disengage,
lower the “Fast Idle” lever.
NOTE:
If no water is coming out of the water pump
outlet. stop the engine and check cooling water intake
for obstructions. No obstruction may indicate a water
pump failure or blockage in the cooling system. These
conditions will cause the engine to overheat. Have the
engine checked by your dealer. Operating the engine
while overheated will cause engine damage.
