Introduction
This
installer
menu
guide
is
intended
for
those
persons
who
are
trained
and
authorized
to
operate
and
configure
the
Entero
Voice
Alarm
Control
and
Indicating
Equipment
(VACIE)
at
access
level
3.
The
different
access
levels
for
mandatory
indications
and
controls
related
to
mandatory
functions
are
defined
in
the
EN54
‐
16:2008
standard:
Access
level
1
‐
For
member(s)
of
the
general
public
or
persons
having
a
general
responsibility
for
safety
supervision,
who
might
be
expected
to
investigate
and
initially
respond
to
a
fire
alarm
or
a
fault
warning.
Access
level
2
‐
For
persons
having
a
specific
responsibility
for
safety
and
who
are
trained
and
authorized
to
operate
the
VACIE
in
the:
quiescent
condition,
voice
alarm
output
condition,
fault
warning
condition
and
disablement
condition.
Access
level
3
‐
For
persons
who
are
trained
and
authorized:
to
re
‐
configure
the
site
specific
data
held
within
the
VACIE
or
controlled
by
it
(for
example;
labeling,
alarm
zoning,
alarm
organization),
to
store
and
change
of
emergency
tones
and
messages
and
to
maintain
the
VACIE
in
accordance
with
the
manufacturer's
published
instructions
and
data.
Access
level
4
‐
For
persons
who
are
trained
and
authorized
by
the
manufacturer
to
either
repair
the
VACIE
or
alter
its
firmware,
thereby
changing
its
basic
mode
of
operation.
Accessibility
of
indications
and
controls
at:
Access
level
1
‐
All
mandatory
indications
(Voice
Alarm
condition,
General
errors,
System
faults
and
Power
status)
are
visible
without
the
need
of
manual
intervention
Access
level
2
‐
All
manual
control
and
indicators
are
accessibly
by
a
special
procedure:
VACIE:
requires
a
mechanical
key
which
allows
to
open
the
front
door
only
Entero®
Fire
Panel:
requires
a
mechanical
key
(optional)
to
open
the
door;
an
optional
code
(combination
of
button
presses)
can
be
used
in
addition
to
this.
Entero®
Evacuation
Panel:
requires
a
code
(combination
of
button
presses)
to
enable
operation
of
the
panel.
Access
level
3
‐
Requires
a
password
to
enter
the
setup
&
configuration
section
of
the
Entero®
ESC
unit,
requires
special
tools
to
open
Entero
components
for
access
to
internal
settings
&
memory
cards
and
requires
a
mechanical
key
(different
from
the
front
door)
to
open
the
rear
door
or
to
remove
the
side
panels
of
the
VACIE
cabinet.

4
‐
Requires
special
tools
and
programming
devices
to
service
or
repair
Entero
components.
