7.
SELF-DIAGNOSIS
This function informs you of error messages to help
you solve system problems.
When the VCR malfunctions, the error code is
displayed in the VCR indicator panel.

• Press the “STAND BY/ON”
button to switch the VCR off.
• Remove the video tape and
check the condition of the tape.
If damaged, replace.

If the problem occurs
frequently, call your service
center.
Capstan
error
•
Press the “CLOCK/
COUNTER” button to erase
the error indication when in
“POWER ON”.
•
Remove the videotape and
check the condition of the tape.
If damaged, replace.
•
Clean the deck mechanism,
using the “Cleaning Tape”.
•
If the problem occurs
frequently, call your service
center.
