▶ Connect the shielding (earthing) of the cable to the earth connection of the heat
pump.
▶ Connect the wire connected to CAN 2 (CAN Low) in the module to CANL (CAN
Low) in the heat pump.
▶ Connect the wire connected to CAN 3 (CAN High) in the module to CANH
(CAN High) in the heat pump (
▶ Make sure that the CAN system is connected correctly.
▶ Observe the further information provided in the heat pump instructions.

Commissioning
The router must be configured as follows:
•
DHCP enabled
•
Ports 5222 and 5223 not blocked
•
Free IP address available
•
Address filtering (MAC filter) matched to the module.
▶ Plug in the power supply unit.
The module automatically obtains an IP address from the router. The name and
address of the target server are stored in the standard settings of the module.
The module requires an internet connection the first time it is commissioned. It logs
on to the Bosch server automatically. It obtains the latest software and is configured
automatically on the BUS system that is connected.
The router does not necessarily have to be connected to the internet after
commissioning. The module can also be operated using the local network only. If this
is the case, access to the heating system via the internet or automatic updates of the
module software are not possible.
When you commission the required application (e.g. app), you will be prompted to
enter the factory-set login name and password. These login details are printed on the
module data plate.

Testing the connection (with heating circuit 1 logged on)
You can check whether the module is communicating correctly with the heating
system.
▶ Briefly press the RESET button (
Fig. 6, page 103) to change the operating
mode for heating circuit 1 at the programming unit.
The change is shown on the operating mode indicator (LED) on the programming
unit.
▶ To conclude the connection test, reinstate the required operating mode.
Resetting personal settings.
If you have forgotten your personal password:
▶ Press the RESET button (
Fig. 6 and 7, page 103) and hold it down for at least
6 seconds.
You can now re-assign your personal password.

Environmental protection/disposal
Environmental protection is a fundamental corporate strategy of the Bosch Group.
The quality of our products, their economic efficiency and environmental safety are
all of equal importance to us and all environmental protection legislation and
regulations are strictly observed.
We use the best possible technology and materials for protecting the environment
taking account of economic considerations.
Packaging
We participate in the recycling programmes of the countries in which our products
are sold to ensure optimum recycling.
All of our packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.
Used appliances
Used appliances contain valuable materials that should be recycled.
The various assemblies can be easily dismantled and synthetic materials are marked
accordingly. Assemblies can therefore be sorted by composition and passed on for
recycling or disposal.

Operating status and faults overview
The indicator shows the operating condition of the module.
NOTICE:
Make sure not to confuse 12V and CAN connection!
If 12 V is connected to the CAN, the processors will be destroyed.
▶ Verify that the three wires are correctly connected to the
terminals correspondingly identified on the PCB.
During commissioning, the LED on the module lights up
continuously in red if neither the BUS nor the LAN connection is
made.
For information on troubleshooting the router or smartphone, see
the relevant manufacturer's instructions.
