Bluetooth set-up
i
If a PC/Laptop has no internal Bluetooth hardware,
the Bluetooth driver for the Bluetooth USB adapter
provided has to be installed. PCs/Laptops (e.g.
DCU 130) with internal Bluetooth hardware do not
require the Bluetooth USB adapter provided and the
Bluetooth driver does not have to be installed. It is
advisable to use the Bluetooth USB adapter (Class 1)
provided for PCs/Laptops with Bluetooth Class 2 as
this improves the range.
i
Before starting up the Bluetooth USB adapter, the
Bluetooth hardware integrated into the PC/Laptop
(e.g. Widcomm Stack/Toshiba Stack) must be deac-
tivated (refer to the PC/Laptop operating manual).
In addition, the corresponding Bluetooth driver
must be uninstalled (remove Bluetooth driver under:
"
Start >> Control panel >> Software
").
i
WIN XP: If the Bluetooth USB adapter is to be used
at various PC/Laptop USB ports, Bluetooth driver
installation must be performed at each USB port.
i
Do not plug the Bluetooth USB adapter into the
PC/Laptop until requested to do so during Blue-
tooth driver installation
(Message:
Connect Blue-
tooth device
). Plugging in the Bluetooth USB
adapter beforehand will result in opening of the Win-
dows hardware assistant. The Windows hardware
assistant must then be shut down and the Bluetooth
USB adapter removed.
i
Bluetooth driver installation can take up to 15 min-
utes and must not be interrupted!
Perform the following work steps in the order indi-
cated:
1.
Exit all open applications.
2.
Start Bluetooth driver installation with "
Start >>
Programs >> Bosch ESI[tronic] 2.0 >> Bluetooth
installation
".
The Setup routine is started.
3.
Please read and follow on-screen instructions.
4.
Plug Bluetooth USB adapter into USB interface of
PC/Laptop.
5.
Continue installation with <
OK
>.
6.
Re-start the PC/Laptop with <
Yes
> to successfully
conclude installation.
i
The PC/Laptop must be re-started, as otherwise the
Bluetooth Manager symbol does not appear in the
task bar.
"
The Bluetooth driver has been installed.
!
WIN 8: Do not install Toshiba Bluetooth driver as
the Microsoft Bluetooth driver is already pre-in-
stalled.
In DDC the Microsoft Bluetooth driver must
be activated: Select "
Settings>> Bluetooth settings
>> Bluetooth driver >> Microsoft (recommended)
".
4.3
Connection
1.
Connect the KTS module with the power supply
included with the delivery.
2.
Connect the KTS module with the PC/Laptop using
the USB connection cable.
i
The message "Found new hardware" will appear on
the screen the first time that the KTS modules are
connected using the USB connection cable. This in-
dicates that the USB connection to the KTS modules
has been recognized.
