Mounting and Removing

accessory is moving. Make sure that the
accessory has come to a complete stop
before removing the accessory.
Ejecting
accessory while still spinning could cause
personal injury and/or property damage.
Verify that the accessory and the X-Lock
Accessory Mount are not deformed and are
free from dirt. If necessary, clean the area
around the two X-Lock Clamping Tabs.
Verify that both X-Lock Clamping Tabs are
open (see Fig. 7) before fitting the X-Lock
accessory.
MOUNTING ACCESSORY TO THE TOOL
1. P l a c e t h e a c c e s s o r y o n t h e X - L o c k
Accessory Mount, by aligning the shape
of the Accessory X-Lock Mounting Hub
with the X-Lock Accessory Mount on the
grinder (Fig. 7).
2. P u s h t h e a c c e s s o r y i n t o t h e X - L o c k
Accessory Mount. The accessory audibly
clicks as the Clamping Tabs lock into
place (Fig. 8).
3. Check that the edge of the Accessory X-
Lock Mounting Hub is correctly engaged
in the slots of the X-Lock Clamping Tabs
( F i g . 9 ) . I f t h e t o p s u r f a c e o f t h e
Accessory X-Lock Mounting Hub is higher
than the “V” shaped Clamping Height
Gage (located on each side of the X-Lock
Accessory Mount), the X-Lock accessory
must not be used until this condition is
e l i m i n a t e d b y c l e a n i n g t h e X - L o c k
A c c e s s o r y M o u n t o r r e p l a c i n g t h e
accessory.
