When cutting curves, make sure not to tilt the
power tool laterally and work with low feed rate
only.
For internal cuts a pilot hole of 15 mm (blade for
straight cuts) or 8 mm (blade for curved cuts) is
necessary.

rial to be cut.
The machine allows for cutting of metal sheet to
the following thicknesses:
Lubricating/Cooling the Cutters
In order to extend the lives of blade and cutter
bar you should use a lubricant with a good cool-
ing capacity (e.g. cutting oil).
Apply a trail of lubricant beads onto the top side
of the metal sheet alongside the intended cutting
line. For long periods of continual use or for work
with high frictional wear (e.g. when cutting alu-
minium), the cutting head should be immersed
into a container with lubricant in regular inter-
vals.

Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.

For safe and proper working, always keep
the machine and ventilation slots clean.
Note:
The blade

and the cutter bars

must not
be reground.
Turning/replacing the cutter bars (see figure B)
If the front half of the cutter bars

is blunt, you
can exchange the cutter bars one against another.
If both halves of the cutter bars
2
are blunt, the
cutter bars must be replaced.
Unscrew the screws
3
with an allen key (size
2.5 mm) and remove the cutter bar
2
.
Mount a new or a turned cutter bar
2
and fix it
with the screws
3
. Tighten the screws.
WARNING! Important instructions for connect-
ing a new 3-pin plug to the 2-wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to
the following code:
Do
not
connect the blue or brown wire to the
earth terminal of the plug.
Important:
If for any reason the moulded plug is
removed from the cable of this power tool, it
must be disposed of safely.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an after-sales service
centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts order,
please always include the 10-digit article number
given on the type plate of the machine.
