Make sure that the Panel Rail Short is mounted before you start installing the Panel Controller.
Connect the ground wire to the screw on the housing.
Plug the cable into the slot labeled IN of the Panel Rail Short.
Plug the EOL resistor for the databus into the slot labeled OUT of the last panel rail
PRS/PRD in use.
Fire panels can only be installed in dry, clean interior rooms. To ensure optimum battery service life, the control
panel should only be operated at sites with normal room temperatures. Operating and display elements should be
located at eye level.
Frame installation housings require at least 230 mm free space on the right next to the last housing; this space is
for swiveling out the attached housing for connection, maintenance, and service.
Sufficient space should be left underneath and next to the control panel for any possible extensions, e.g. for an
additional power supply or an extension housing.
To put the panel controller/remote keypad into operation program the required properties and the configuration
with the remote programming software RPS and upload the configuration to the panel controller/remote keypad.
There are no restrictions of using the devices in commercial or industrial areas.
Permissible operating temperature: -5 to 50 °C.
Storage
Permissible storage temperature: -20 °C to 70 °C
Maximum storage time: 2 years.

The device including the accessories and packaging shall be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling. Do not
dispose of power supplies into household waste. Please follow your local regulations on appropriate disposal.
1.4 Troubleshooting
In case the product doesn’t work as expected go to the diagnostic menu of the connected panel controller and
take measures according to the shown error code. In the event of a defect, the entire product must be exchanged.

1.5 Restrictions of usage

Only use original parts and installation materials as recommended by supplier. Do not manipulate
devices in any manner.
Replace devices as recommended by Bosch Security Systems.

Do not use if there are signs of damage, or in case of malfunction. Return defective devices to the
place of purchase.
