Before installation
Ducted application
Kitchen smokes are pulled to the duct either
upwards or outside through the wall.
For ducted application it is needed to install
a non-return valve in the duct shaft.
If the non-return valve is not included in the
delivery, it can be purchased in a specialized
shop.
Install the non-return valve:
❑
Install the non-return valve in the
duct shaft.
Make sure that the non-return valve
opens freely.
If you want kitchen smokes to be pulled
outside, it is needed to install telescopic
conduit in the outer wall.
The exhaust hood will function with better
performance:
❑
The duct shall be short and have smooth
surface.
❑
The duct shall have as little bends as
possible.
❑
The duct shall have as big diameter as
possible, without bends.
The suction performance will not be optimal
and more noise will be generated if pipes
that are used, are long, have rough surface,
pipes with many bends and small diameter.
❑
Pipes with round circumference.
The recommended inner diameter is
150
mm
.
The inner circumference space of flat pipes
(for example, rectangular circumference)
shall not exceed the circumference space of
the round pipes..
Sharp bends shall be absent.
Ø 150 mm equals approx. 177 cm².
❑
If pipes are of different diameters:
Apply suitable duct tape.
❑
For ducted application provide
appropriate ventilation of the
kitchen.
Connect the exhaust duct Ø 150 mm:
❑
Mount the duct on the air outlet of the
exhaust hood.
