Causes

Normal Operation

Outdoor unit

 

White mist or water

 

The sound of “hissing”

 

Fans may stop during defrost mode, the sound of valves 
operating is normal

 

When the units starts and shuts down, normal sounds like 
‚running water‘ and valves opening/closing will be heard for 
up to 3-15 minutes.

 

The unit may make a ‚hissing‘ noise when the temperature 
inside the heat exchanger changes.

 

Household smells can adhere to the units, cleaning the 
filters during service will improve this.

 

Should the electrical powers supply be interrupted.

 

Other equipment preheating process stops cooling 
operation.

 

The operator sets an opposite mode against the fixed 
cooling or heating mode.

 

The fans inside the indoor units may stop periodically to 
avoid discharging the incorrect temperature of air into 
the room.  The fans will start again once the unit has the 
sufficient temperature to discharge.

 

The master unit with slave units for different purposes, 
when abnormal accident happen, the director will illustrate.

Basic Checks

 

Unit is operating at random periods

 

Incorrect settings in the programmer.

 

No operation

 

Check there isn‘t or has been an interruption to the electrical 
power supply (power cut).

 

Ensure all electrical power supply switches are in the ‚on‘ 
position.

 

Has a fuse tripped and interrupted the power supply.  
Ensure a competent person inspects this.

 

Incorrect settings in programmer.

 

Insufficient cooling

 

Insufficient heating

 

Whether the air inlet and air outlet of the outdoor unit is 
blocked.

 

Ensure the windows and doors to the property are not open.

 

Ensure all filter on units are clean, this will impinge the 
performance.

 

Ensure the air deflector on the indoor units are angled in the 
correct position.

 

The fan is running on low speed.

 

Ensure the requested temperature for the room is adequate.

 

The operator has selected cooling and heating 
simultaneously. Indicator LED for standby or no priority will 
be displayed.
