Testing the vehicle air con-
ditioning system

Visual inspection
Prior to service, check all visible components and connec-
tions on the vehicle air conditioning system for damage.

A/C service preparation
WARNING – Risk of burns from hot engine
components
Contact with hot engine components will
cause severe burns.
¶
Allow the engine to cool down.
¶
Wear protective gloves.
WARNING – Risk of frostbite from escap-
ing refrigerant
Refrigerant causes severe frostbite on the
skin.
¶
Check the service hoses for damage.
¶
Firmly connect the service quick-release
couplings to the service hoses.
¶
Wear safety goggles.
¶
Wear protective gloves.

Observe the vehicle manufacturer's recommenda-
tions for A/C service on vehicles with a low-pressure
connection only.
1.
Stand the ACS 752 on a flat, vibration-proof surface.
2.
Actuate the brake to stop the ACS 752 rolling.
3.
Connect the power supply cord to the power supply.
4.
Switch on the master switch.

Observe the manufacturer's instructions for the cor-
responding vehicle before performing A/C service.
!
The ACS 752 is only to be operated with R134a
refrigerant. Check which refrigerant is used for the
vehicle before performing A/C service.
!
The ACS 752 cannot be used for air conditioners
repaired using a chemical sealant. Non-observance
will invalidate the warranty.
!
Never attempt to close the valves of the internal re-
frigerant cylinder whilst the ACS 752 is in operation.
