Replacing injection chamber Orings
!
The O-rings are to be checked for damage at regular
intervals. Never use any squashed or frayed O-rings.
Depending on the diameter of the nozzle (7 mm /
9 mm) of the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/UI, it may
be necessary to fit an O-ring insert with O-rings and
knurled nut in the correct position in the injection
chamber.

2 O-ring 7 x 4 for O-ring insert 7 mm or
O-ring 9 x 3 for O-ring insert 9 mm
3 O-ring insert (7 mm for knurled nut D7 or
9 mm for knurled nut D9)
4 O-ring 12 x 2
5 Injection chamber
1.
Remove the knurled nut (Fig. 6, Item 1) by turning it
counter-clockwise.
2.
Take the O-ring insert (Fig. 6, Item 3) out of the
injection chamber.
3.
Remove the O-rings from the O-ring insert.
4.
Check the O-rings (Fig. 6, Item 2, 4) and replace if
damaged.
5.
Insert the correct O-rings.
6.
Place the correct O-ring insert (7 mm or 9 mm) in
the correct position in the injection chamber.
7.
Loosely screw on the knurled nut (7 mm or 9 mm)
by hand in clockwise direction.
Attaching injection chamber to injector
For testing, the injection chamber (Fig. 7, Item 5) is fit-
ted over the nozzle of the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/
UI and secured with the knurled nut (Fig. 7, Item 5).

1.
Unfasten the knurled nut (Fig. 7, Item 4) by turning it
counter-clockwise.
2.
Slide the injection chamber as far as it will go over
the nozzle of the CRI/CRIN, CRI Piezo or DHK/UI.
3.
Attach the injection chamber to the component by
turning the knurled nut clockwise.

Do not fasten the knurled nut so tightly that it makes
contact with the body of the injection chamber, as
thermal expansion of the hot injection chamber then
makes it difficult to unfasten the knurled nut.
4.
Fix the injection chamber in position by means of
the injection chamber holder .
