CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and let it cool down completely
before cleaning. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water. Also make sure
that these parts do not come in contact with moisture.
CLEANING THE HOUSING
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, never use a chemical or abrisive cleaner. Rub the outside
of the kettle clean with a soft, damp cloth or with a mild detergent. Never use a toxic cleaning
product.
Caution: Do not use any chemical, metal, wooden or abrasive cleaning products to clean the
outside of the water kettle.
CLEANING THE FILTER
Remember to clean the filter on a regular basis. Detach the filter by pulling the tab of the filter
out the kettle. Rince the filter and replace it after cleaning.
STORAGE
To store the appliance in a compact manner, you can wind up the cord in the bottom of the
base.
DESCALING
Tap water may cause mineral deposits on the inside of the water kettle. Use a liquid descaler
or a non-toxic cleaning product to remove this build-up.
An alternate solution could be the following:
1. Fill the water kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and add water until the kettle is full
(max. level). Let this soak overnight. However, do not boil this liquid!
