3.4 Use
The essential functions are lying, sitting, supporting and transporting the
patient.
This transportation chair serves for sitting, laying and transportation of
paralyzed or disabled persons. Assistants of these people have, due to
adequate design of the chair, maximal support for their work. It is necessary for
hygienic reasons to clean the cushioning before use.
Any other use, such as transportation trolley for equipment, with
unacceptable accessories is not approved!
3.5 Setting the chair
The chair is not designed for persons heavier than 150 Kg.
Check the position of the person sitting in the chair in order to
prevent injury resulting from handling/adjustments.
During lowering to the lowest position no objects that could collide
with the chair or block it may be present nearby!
When stopping the chair, it must be braked using the central brake,
alternatively the rear wheel brake to prevent spontaneous
movement.
When setting the chair ensure that all wheels are in
contact with the ground.
Before a person is seated and/or before any further handling the
brakes on the chair must be engaged!
