Amount of Detergent to Use

Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher can be split in tw o basic t ypes:

Dete rgent tablets of diffe rent brands disso lve at di fferent speeds. For this reason some
detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop the ir full cleaning power during short
prog rammes. Therefore please use long progr ammes when using d ete rgent tab lets, to
ensure the complete removal of detergent residua ls.

The dispenser must be re filled before the start of each wash cycle f ollowing the instructi ons
provided in the Wash Cycle Table . Your di shw asher uses less dete rgent and rinse aid then
conventional dishwasher. Generally, only one tabl espoon of de tergent is ne eded for
a normal wash load. Also, more heavily so iled items need more detergent. Always a dd th e
detergent just be fore starting the dish was her, otherwise it coul d get damp and will not
dissolve properly.

Normally new pulverised detergent is with out phosphate. T he water so ftener function of
phospha te is not given. In this case we recommend to fill salt in the salt con taine r even when
the hardness of water is only 6 dH. If dete rgents witho ut phosphate we re used i n case of ha rd water
often white spots appear at dishes and glasse s. In this cas e please add mo re de tergent to reach
better results. Detergents without chlorine do only bleach a little. S tron g and coloured spots will not
removed completely. In this c ase please choo se a prog ramme with high er Temp erat ure.
