CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the mixer before making any adjustments, servicing or mainte-
nance to the tool.
• Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance.
Always store your power tool in a dryplace.
• If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufac-
turer, service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
CLEANING
• Keep the safety devices, ventilation slots and motor housing as free of
dirt and dust as possible.
• Clean the unit by rubbing it with a clean cloth or blow it clean using
low-pressure compressed air.
• We recommend that you always clean the unit immediately after using
it.
• Clean the unit regularly by rubbing it with a damp cloth and a little soft
soap. Do not use cleaners or solvents --these will attack the plastic
parts in the unit. You must also ensure that water cannot get into the
inside of the unit.
CARBON BRUSHES
This product has two externally accessi-
ble brush assemblies that should be
checked periodically for wear. Using a flat
head screwdriver, remove the brush cap.
The brush assembly is spring-loaded and
will pop out when removing the brush
cap. Remove the brush assembly (brush
and spring). Check for wear on the
carbon tips. Replace both brushes when
either one has less than 1/4 inch length
of carbon remaining. Do not replace one side without replacing the other.
Reassemble using the new brush assemblies. Make sure that the brushes
move freely in the brush tube. Replace the brush cap and tighten it secure-
ly. Do not over tighten.
