iDrive
Principle
The iDrive combines the functions of many
switches. These functions can be operated via
the Controller.
Buttons on the Controller
Button Function
Press once: calls up the main menu.
Press twice: displays all menu items
of the main menu.
Call up the Communication menu.
Call up the Media/Radio menu.
Call up the destination input menu
for navigation.
Call up the navigation map.
Press once: opens the previous dis-
play.
Press and hold: open the menus
used last.
Call up the Options menu.
Voice control
Activating the voice control system
1. Press the button on the steering
wheel.
2. Wait for the signal tone.
3. Say the command.
This icon indicates that the voice acti-
vation system is active.
If no other commands are possible, operate
the function via iDrive.
Ending the voice control system
Press the button on the steering wheel
or ›Cancel‹.
