Replacing fuses

main stand on a firm, flat sur-
face
• Open the front seat

Before changing a fuse, switch
the ignition off.
Never attempt to repair a blown
fuse – risk of fire
For this reason, always carry a
number of spare fuses in the
toolkit.
Use only fuses of the specified
rating and type.
• Squeeze clips

together and
remove the cover of the fuse
box
• Use the puller to remove the
blown fuse from its socket
• Insert a new fuse of the cor-
rect rating
• Close the fuse box lid
• Close and lock the front seat

It is advisable to have the elec-
trical system checked by a
BMW-certified workshop, pref-
erably an authorized BMW mo-
torcycle retailer, if fuses blow
frequently.
