Traffic channel
If a station broadcasting on the
FM waveband transmits traffic
announcements, this is in many
countries included in the RDS
information (
30).
If at least one station with traffic
announcements is being received
by the audio system, the field
1
will contain the symbol
T
. The
traffic channel station does not
necessarily have to be the same
as the station that is currently
playing.
If a traffic channel station is be-
ing played and the traffic channel
function is on, any other operat-
ing mode is interrupted for the
duration of the announcement.
Exception: if communication sys-
tems are connected in commu-
nication mode, these will not be
interrupted.
You can switch on the traffic
channel function only if RDS is
active.
Switching on traffic-
program function
Select the traffic-program func-
tion (
TP
) (not available in all
countries).
The following settings are avail-
able:
TP OFF
: Traffic-program
function OFF
TP ON
traffic-program function
ON.
Alternatively: Press and hold
down the
MUTE button to
toggle the traffic information
function on and off.
If the traffic-program function is
ON and at least one station with
