Cut the edge protector (14) to a length of 80 mm
(the remainder is not required).
Fit the cut edge protector to the retaining plate
(5), as shown in the figure.
Insert the retaining plate (5) into the glove box
holder (40) in the direction indicated by the arrow
and connect it to the stud bolt (41).
As you insert the retaining plate (5) ensure
that you do not damage any cables or lines. If
necessary tie the cables/lines out of the way.
Secure the retaining plate (5) to the stud bolt (41)
using the 10 mm cap nut (19)

Then screw two fillister head self-tapping screws
3.5 x 9.5 mm (18) into the 3 mm holes (41) you
have drilled.
To allow you to install the hands-free facility
control module on the retaining plate (5), remove
the retaining plate (5) again.
Align the retaining plate (5) in the glove box
holder (40) and drill 3 mm holes in the glove box
holder (40). Use the existing holes in the
retaining plate (5) as a template.
Extract the drill chippings to prevent
damaging the cables or lines.
