DISINFECTION
3.4.1
CLEANING OPERATION BASED ON THE COMPONENTS
Before any cleaning operation is carried out on the couch, disconnect it from the electric
power system and ensure that all internal parts are correctly connected.
COMPONENTS
OPERATIONS REQUIRED
ELECTRICAL PARTS
Wash with (very little) running water in cases where the springs
are watertight.
After cleaning, dry the couch
Check that it is functioning properly
METAL PARTS (90%
EPOXY COVERED)
Wash with soap and running water or with diluted alcohol
After cleaning, dry the couch
Check that it is functioning properly
UPHOLSTERY
Wash with soap and water
After cleaning, dry the couch
Check that it is functioning properly
3.4.2
DIRECTIONS TO FOLLOW

All of the surfaces of the furniture must be cleaned.

During cleaning or disinfection, it is advisable to:
o
Apply the product by spraying or using a cloth.
o
Start with the areas nearest to the patient, paying particular attention to the
parts coming into contact with users.
o
Work from the top down

Allow the equipment to dry.
Products that stain (e.g. “blue product” or eosin) should be cleaned as quickly as possible in
order to avoid it permeating the material.
