CLEANING
AND
DISINFECTION
3.1
INTRODUCTION
Regular and correct cleaning ensure the product's life service (see cleaning program prepared
upon commissioning of the device by appointing the reference personnel).
If the cleaning operations are not carried out, this may cause a risk of infection due to the
presence of secretions and/or residues on the stretcher-trolley.
The following cleaning recommendations do not replace your establishment's internal protocol.
3.2
FREQUENCY
The cleaning shall be performed:

After each patient i.e. between two patients.

After transporting an infected patient.

Entirely on a weekly basis

RECOMMENDED
EQUIPMENT
AND
PRODUCTS

Only use authorised and standardised cleaning and disinfecting products.

Find out which products are strictly prohibited by the Manufacturer (see list below).
List of strictly prohibited products:
Solvents :
Petrol / superior aliphatic and aromatic alcohols / ketones-esters /
trichlorethylene-perchlorethylene
Base :
Sodium hydroxide 10% / Ammonia 10%
Acids :
Nitric 10% / Hydrochloric 30% / Citric 10%
Miscellane:
Distilled water / Bleach / Abrasive powders / Any abrasive product

Do not use abrasive utensils and bleach with a low dilution rate.

Do not mix products.

Comply with the recommended doses and dilutions.

Use clean single-use clothes.

Perform cleaning and disinfecting operations while wearing protective clothing and
gloves.
