TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Potential cause
Solution
The pilot flame cannot
be ignited.
The gas cylinder valve
is closed.
Open the gas cylinder
valve.
Blockage in the burner
nozzle or line
Clean the burner
nozzle or pipe or have it
replaced.
Air in the gas line
Turn off the gas bottle
and press the control
dial down for 1-2
minutes or until you
smell gas.
Low gas pressure
Gas bottle is only
slightly full or empty.
The igniter does not
work.
Light the pilot light
with a match. Have the
igniter replaced.
The pilot light does not
stay on.
Dirt accumulation
around the pilot flame.
Remove the
accumulation of dirt.
The connection
between the gas valve
and the flame assembly
is loose.
Tighten the connection
and carry out a leak
test.
Faulty thermocouple
Replace the
thermocouple.
The burner does not
ignite.
Low gas pressure
Replace the gas bottle.
Blockage in the burner
opening.
Remove the blockage.
The control dial is in the
“OFF” position.
Ignite the burner
by turning the
control dial to the
“IGNITION&LOW”
position (see section
“Operation”)
