GAS LEAK TEST
WARNING
Danger of fi re and explosion! Never use an open fl ame to test
the appliance for leaks. Never smoke while performing a leak
test.
All gas connections of the appliance are checked at the factory before
shipment. The appliance must be checked for leaks at regular intervals and
immediately if there is a smell of gas.
• Make a soap solution with 1/4 dishwashing liquid and 3/4 water. The soap
solution can be applied with a soap bottle, brush or cloth at the points
shown in the illustration.
•
The gas bottle valve should be in the “OFF” position while applying the
soap solution. Once the soap solution has been applied all over, the gas
bottle valve must be set to the “ON” position.
• If there is a leak, bubbles will form at the site of the leak.
• In the event of a leak, turn off the gas supply. Tighten all leaking
connections and then check the unit again for leaks.
