environmental and safety representative to determine the suitability of the mask for the task in
question.
•
The product does not supply the user with oxygen. Only use in ventilated areas with an adequate
supply of oxygen. Do not use the dust filter mask if the oxygen content is below 19%.
•
Do not use the mask when the concentration of harmful substances entails an immediate hazard to
health or life.
•
Do not use in explosive environments.
•
Leave the work area immediately and seek fresh air if (a) it becomes difficult to breathe or (b) you
become dizzy or experience other discomfort.

been used once.

OPERATION
1.
Hold the dust filter mask in your hand with your fingertips on the nose section. Allow the neck
straps to hang freely from your hand.
2.
Hold the dust filter mask tightly against your face with the nose section over the bridge of your
nose.
3.
Stretch the lower neck strap, pass it over your head and position below your ears. Stretch the
upper neck strap, pass it over your head and position above your ears.
4.
Only for dust filter masks with adjustable neck straps: Hold the dust filter mask in place and tighten
by pulling the tab on each neck strap. Open the buckle by pushing out the rear of the buckle.
5.
Press the soft nose section so that it fits tightly around your nose.
6.
(a) Testing dust filter masks without exhalation valve: Cup both hands over the dust filter mask and
breathe out with force.

breathe in with force. You should be able to feel underpressure inside the dust filter mask. If air
flows around your nose, the nose section must be sealed. If air leaks in at the edges, the neck
strap must be moved so that the mask fits better.
7.
Replace the dust filter mask immediately if it becomes difficult to breathe, if the mask is damaged
or if it cannot be made to fit properly. Follow the instructions carefully for optimum safety.
