Safety
1. Read carefully before usage.
2. Only suitable for indoor use.
3. Ensure voltage shown on the label match to the mains supply voltage.
4. Never connect Polario to another cable or ballast then the one supplied, any misuse will void the warranty!
5. Mount controller and transformer on a dry space, away from moisture or water, there is no warranty on damages caused by water on water
controller or transformer!
6. Never let the pump run dry, keep it submerged at all times.
7. Unplug or switch off all appliances in the aquarium before carrying out maintenance.
8. If damaged, the pump cord cannot be replaced, the whole unit needs to be recycled.
9. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children may not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without
supervision.
Installation
1. Rinse the pump and parts with clean tap water before installing.
2. Choose the desired position for the magnet mount.
3. Separate the magnet mount by twisting units apart.
4. Place the pump in the desired location in the aquarium (page 3, step 1).
5. Mount and secure the controller and transformer in an area that is dry, and will stay dry and away from the aquarium, see pictures page 3.
6. Plug pump cable into the transformer.
7. Now start the pump by plugging the cable, ensure cable drip loop (page 3, step 2).
Usage
1. Polario offers Bi-directional water flow to simulate natural wave and currents of the ocean.
2. The flow is pre-set and cannot be changed, see the specifications for the flow of your model!
3. After power on, water will flow from left at 50% power for 5 seconds, then 75% power for 5 seconds, then 100% power
for 5 seconds, followed by 5 seconds break, then the same cycle will start on right side, this continues till power off;
Maintenance
1. Monthly cleaning is needed to ensure proper operation!
2. Disconnect pump from mains before any maintenance on the aquarium.
3. Remove pump from the tank and remove strainer.
4. Remove the propeller, clean propeller and pump in a 50% vinegar, and 50% water-solution, soak it for at least 1 hour, clean with a
fine brush. Check that the propeller rotates freely on the shaft. In some cases, repeat cleaning and soaking can be needed to remove
all scale deposits.
5. Re assemble pump and place it back into the aquarium.
6. Make sure inlet strainer on both sides are always open and clean!
7. The propeller is subject to wear, depending on the usage it needs replacement annually, this is normal maintenance is not covered by
the warranty. New propellers are available from your dealer.
Trouble shooting
1. Controller will not power up and/or pump will not turn on.
2. Most likely you have blown the fuse, make sure pump, rotor and strainer are clean!.
3. The fuse will have to be replaced, turn off the unit and unplug the transformer, see picture on page 2; part list.
4. Remove the back plate of the controller, take out fuse with flat head screwdriver and replace
5. Use 1.6 amp fuse for Polario 4000 and 2.5 amp fuse for Polario 10000, 1 spare fuse is included with each pump, additional spare
fuses are available at your dealer.
6. Restart the unit, if the unit still not work return unit to your dealer for checking.
