Safety
1. Read carefully before usage.
2. Only suitable for indoor use.
3. Ensure voltage shown on the label match to the mains supply voltage.
4. Ensure that water cannot reach the powersocket.
5. Never let the pump run dry, damage caused by dry running is not covered under warranty!
6. Do not place the pump in water that is above 35°C
7. The pump must not be used to pump sewage, flammable, corrosive or explosive liquids (e.g. petroleum oil, petrol, thinner), grease,
oils or foodstuffs.
8. Disconnect reactor from mains before any maintenance on your aquarium.
9. If damaged the powersupply cord cannot be replaced, the whole LED Light or pump needs to be recycled.
10. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Special care should be taken with the use of electrical equipment by or near children

Place the reactor in the sump.
Connect the LED power supply
to a timer (not included) and
connect the waterpump power
plug to the power source.
Power up both the pump and
the LED.
For optimum results, it is
recommended that the LED
photo period is set to power
up after the main tank light is
off and each photo cycle is set
at 12 hours per day.
Some hobbyist prefer to run
the light 24 hours.

Remove the lid by
loosening the lid mounting
screws

Place some macroalgae (i.e.
Chaetomorpha algae) on the
cultivation plate for seeding.
and place the cultivation plate
back in the reactor, and screw
the lid back on.
Step 3
Insert the light and screw
the waterproof connector
on it.
Maintenance
• In order to keep the Macro algae reactor efficient, the glass
led tube should be cleaned regularly.
• It is recommended to clean the pump every 3 to 6 months.
Check and clean the impeller, and if necessary soak the pump
and impeller in white vinegar to dissolve any calcium deposits.
• Depending on the growth of algae you will have to remove 80%
of the algae regularly.
