3. Ignite the moistened end of the prong using
a stick lighter. Please keep a safety distance.
4. Transfer the flame by dipping the prong into
the ethanol inside the burner. In case the flame
does not ignite, please repeat the process. It
will take about 15 minutes for the flame to get
to its operating temperature.
5. Adjust the flame size using the sliding tool.
Open / close the burner cover until the flame
has reached the desired height or intensity.

1. bio-ethanol in cool condition may take several attempts to ignite until the flame burns steadily
and constantly. If necessary repeat the ignition process as detailed in paragraph 6.2
2. When bio-ethanol remains in the burner for a longer time its flammability is being reduced
(depending on temperature, humidity it can already partly evaporate after 1 day). Dispose of the
remaining ethanol by carefully emptying the burner into a suitable container. Bio-ethanol must not
be disposed of into domestic sewage (toilet, sink etc.). The container with the remaining ethanol
must be disposed of at an authorised waste site.

1. Wait until the fire is completely out or extinguish the flame with the flame regulator (see
paragraph 6.4)
2. Make sure the flame is fully extinguished and let the burner cool down for at least 15 minutes.
The flame may burn blue first and when it is almost burned down. It will be less visible then.
