If  possible  let  the  fuel  burn  out  completely  until  the  burner  is  fully  emptied.  This  avoids  a 
potential  deflagration  when  reignited  and  smell  of  alcohol  in  the  room.  To  shut  down  the  flame 
please proceed as follows: 

1. Completely close the burner cover / flame regulator with the provided sliding tool. 

2. Wait until the flame is fully extinguished. 

3.  If  necessary  dispose  of  remaining  fuel  after  the  burner  has  completely  cooled  down  (see 
paragraph 10.1)

Move  the  lever  to  reopen  the  burner  and  close  it  again  with  a  quick  movement.  This  will  cut  the 
flame off. If necessary repeat this until the flame is shut off completely. 

In  the  event  of  this  being  unsuccessful  please  let  the  flame  burn  with  the  burner  being  closed  for 
another  5-10  minutes.  Then  repeat  the  above  procedure.  If  this  is  unsuccessful  please  open  the 
burner and the all the fuel burn off.

Alcohol-resistant  foam  or  carbon  dioxide  are  suitable  extinguishing  agents.  Please  make  sure  to 
keep an extinguished in proximity of the fireplace.

The burner should regularly be cleaned. 

Please proceed as follows: 

1. After the flame is shut off, please wait at least 15 minutes until the burner has cooled down. 

2. Dispose of any remaining fuel in the burner (see paragraph 10.1) 

3.  Use  warm water  and  ph-neutral  washing-up  liquid  to  regularly  clean  the  burner  from  the  inside 
and outside. Dry the burner after cleaning.
