Note and manufacture’s declaration regarding electromagnetic compatibility 
(EMC)  

The VarioCarat® examination/refraction unit fulfils the EMC requirements according to EN 60601-1-2 
and is constructed in such a way that the generation and emission of electromagnetic disturbances 
are limited to such an extent that other devices are not disturbed in their intended operation. The 
VarioCarat® examination/refraction unit itself has adequate immunity to other electromagnetic 
disturbances.

Medical electrical equipment and systems are subject to special measures in connection with 
EMC and must be installed accordingly. 
Portable and mobile RF communication equipment, e.g. radio telephones, can affect 

electrical medical equipment.
