Tuning into stations manually
You can also tune into stations manually.
1.
On the device or on the remote control: Press the /
keys to do this.
Automatic station seek tuning

On the device: Press the / key and hold it down.

On the remote control: Press the

key and hold it
down.
Note: The radio will search through the waveband until
it finds a strong signal that will provide good recep-
tion.
Storing stations
Preset stations are available at the push of a button.
Tune to the station you want.
1.
Press one of the station keys 1 - 6 on the device and hold
it down.
When the station has been saved its frequency or the name of
the station will be displayed next to the number of the station
button on the left-hand side of the monitor.
Note: You can save a maximum of 18 FM stations (six
each under FM1, FM2 and FM3) and 6 MW stations.
If the Chicago IVDM-7002 is disconnected from the
supply voltage, all the station settings will be lost, and
will have to be stored again.

Storing stations automatically (Travelstore)
You can automatically save the six strongest FM stations in the
region under station keys 1 - 6.
1.
Press the BND / BSM key on the device and hold it down.
Note: Automatic saving will replace any preset sta-
tions that were previously assigned to the station keys.
Programme type (PTY)
Besides transmitting the station name, some FM stations also
provide information on the type of programme. The device can
receive and display this information.
Examples of programme types include:
NEWS
SPORT
POP MUSIC
ROCK MUSIC
DRAMA
CULTURE
FOLK MUSIC
You can use the PTY function to select stations of a particular
programme type.
