strong nearby stations (low sensitivity).
If “lo” does not light up, the radio will also pick
up less powerful stations (higher sensitivity)

Separate adjustment of the sensitivity
levels for local and distant reception

The sensitivity levels for local and distant
reception can be adjusted separately:

a) Local reception

Press the MIX / lo button to switch
to “lo” (lights up in the display).

played (follows after “MONO OFF”
or “MONO ON”).

Use the

 buttons to alter the sensitivity

value (“1” corresponds to high sensitivity, “3”
corresponds to low sensitivity).

seconds, the display will switch back to the
previous condition.
Press MIX / lo to switch back immediately.

b) Distant reception

Press the MIX / lo button to switch
to “dx” (“lo” disappears from the
display).

Keep MIX / lo depressed until “S-
DX” appears in the display. The
adjustment is made as described
under “a) Local reception”.

Switching from stereo to mono

If reception is poor, you may get better sound
quality by switching to mono:

Hold down the MIX / lo button until
“MONO OFF” or “MONO ON” appears
in the display.
The stereo symbol

 will disappear for

mono playback.

Each time the radio is switched on, stereo
playback is activated.
The unit will automatically switch to mono
playback under poor reception conditions.
