CHAPTER 3: Installation

3. Installation

3.1 Installing Most Models

Follow these instructions to install your 19" Rack Mount Power Strip, Surge Power
Strip, or Surge Suppressor:

Bolt it to the cabinet rails.

Plug your devices’ transformers into the outlets on the unit.

Plug the unit into an AC power source.

If the unit has a power switch, turn it ON.

Your unit is now installed and ready to operate.

3.2 Installing the PS187A-R2 or Vertical Surge Suppressor Strip

Follow these instructions to install your 70" Vertical Power Strip or Vertical Surge
Suppressor Strip.

Screw the mounting clips into the mounting surface.

Place the Power Strip on the mounting clips and snap it into position
so that the unit is flush with the mounting surface. The unit should
now be secure.

Plug your devices’ transformers into the outlets on the unit.

Plug the Power Strip into an AC power source.

Your unit is now installed and ready to operate.
